The issue with the CMS system has now been resolved and prospective members (old or new) should be able to join as usual via your CMS system. The guide Sue attached may still be useful if you as a club manually add members via Sport80. We have suggested a change to the ACU so as the member you have added can directly accept or reject the membership directly from the received email rather than having to go to the their settings within their profile to accept or reject the membership

.Just as an explanation as to why an added member has to accept or reject their membership, unfortunately, this is due to the current GDPR rules, when you add a member you get to be able to see a lot of their personal information, therefore, that person has to approve this access, this prevents any of us just adding a member and obtaining access to information that is protected under the GDPR without their consent.

As a follow up to the meeting we had with the ACU another meeting has been arranged with representatives of both the ACU and Sport80 to discuss future enhancements and developments so it’s important that we try and capture the needs of the clubs represented by the Yorkshire Centre. Please think about what you would like to see and I will put any ideas together in one document and send it to the ACU prior to the meeting that is scheduled for 12th September

From the meeting we had with the ACU a few weeks ago, it was clear that some people are struggling with the system, the purpose of this group would be to pool all the issues together and also give us the opportunity to answer any simple queries that you may have regarding the system. We now have access to the test system so we would be in a position to send you guides on your specific issues.

We do have further meetings planned with the ACU and with Sport80 therefore understanding what issues you have is important. It will also be a good platform to provide you any updates that may come about from Sport80.
