Please see an update below from Gov.Uk below which gives some helpful posters that outlines the restrictions in England applicable from yesterday (17th May). You may find the posters useful as they are a good ‘at a glance’ overview of the restrictions in place now that Step 3 of the Roadmap is effective and I would encourage you to send this email to your Clubs.
As has been outlined in the Risk Assessments pertaining to each sport which was distributed last week, group gatherings outdoors should not exceed 30. Self-contained accommodation still continues at venues, if the venue allows and overnight accommodation is now permitted in local hotels. Having checked with Public Health England towards the end of last week, face coverings do not have to be worn outside at events but, and an important point to note, if social distancing is not achievable, then face covering should be worn.
When planning an event, please ensure the Local Authority is notified, again an important point is – not to ask the Local Authorities permission for the event to take place, but politely say that the event is being planned and that to ease communication and as a matter of liaison the Local Authority is being made aware that a motorsport event is taking place in their area. If you wish to use any of the Risk Assessments sent out by the ACU, please do so. Alternatively, you can draft your own or indeed adapt those issued by the ACU, again the important point to note is the Local Authority should be sent a copy of the Risk Assessment for the event.
