Is there any Club who could HELP out with this display?
If so could you let me know ASAP. – Sue Smith
Further to our telephone conversation, please find details below regarding our event:
The West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service will be running a promotional event on the 28th April 2018 to make the public aware of our FREE Biker Down training course.
By means of background information Biker Down is a 3 hour course consisting of 3 parts:
- Motorcycle accident scene management
- Emergency first aid
- Safer riding strategies
During 2017 the West Yorkshire Fire Service began delivery of the Biker Down training package as a trial to establish public interest within the region. Without any established means of advertising the programme we delivered to 150 delegates over 13 courses.
Because of the interest we have had, and the benefits of the course for those who attend, we are pleased to announce we will be delivering Biker Down sessions again in 2018 and would like to invite you to attend our launch event at West Yorkshire Fire Service Head Quarters, Birkenshaw on the 28th April 2018.
We aim to give the event a trade fair feel and anticipate attendances from road safety organisations and motorcycle/motorcycle accessory dealers.
We are looking for volunteers to support us on the day by putting on a trials demonstration. If you are available, and would like to attend, we would like a couple of demonstrations over obstacles which we could build with the help of our Technical Rescue Team. We would expect a large turnout as our Fire Service Open Days attract up to 10,000 people, although we don’t expect to have quite as many at the motorcycle fair. The poster attached is just a draft copy.
If you would like to attend, or would like any more information then please do not hesitate to contact me.
