It would be appreciated if you could circulate your members with a copy of the Regulations (attached) for our Brian Clarkson Memorial Trial on the 25th. April, entries being open now via the ACU online entry system www.acu.org.uk
This is normally a round of the West Yorkshire Championship but as the Championship is not being held again in 2021, as in 2020 (due to Covid), it is being run on an “Open Permit” to commemorate the 10th. Anniversary of the sad loss of Brian Clarkson, a founder member of the Club, twice President of the Yorkshire Centre, and all round motorbike “fanatic”!
It will run 3 routes, similar to a WYG round but with the same class structure as we use in our own Club Championship trials (the Clubman B route particularly being slightly easier).
The venue is California Quarries, Crosland Hill, Huddersfield, which has sections that should appeal to all abilities; until a couple of years ago it wasn’t used for some 15 years due to parking problems but a new parking field has been established providing plenty of room for “social distance parking”.
If any of your Members are looking forward to getting back on a bike after “lockdown” this could just be the event for them?
