Airedale and Pennine Motor Car Club Ltd.

Airedale & Pennine’s Long Distance Reliability Trial

Start Pateley Bridge on Sunday 8th May 2022.

Details will eventually be on Clubs website and planning is well under way. It will have classes for bikes with trials tyres and a ‘special permit’ that allows a class using knobbly enduro tyres for trail bikes as long as they are E marked for road use. There will be 60-70 tarmac miles and well over a dozen sections. Combinations are also catered for.We anticipate some fifty cars and hopefully a similar number of motorcycles. I am investigating the possibility of a non-competitive Touring Assembly too that will not attempt the off road sections but will follow the road route.

It could well be March before we get all the details fixed but it is well worth putting the date out there and that we will cater for all road legal machines and competitors. We will have Class X for enduro tyres on trail bikes and chairs will not need a nosecone.
Learner riders are welcome and we are also looking at running a Touring Assembly for those wanting to stay on the tarmac but go around the road course with ACU insurance as an event participant if not a competitor. Many of our access roads are a bit rough for standard road going vehicles but some sections will be visible from the roadside or have easy access. We will include stopping places of interest, coffee shops, etc. Typically the Strid cafe is opposite two sections and it has a large tarmac car park.

I’m on rhodesj3@sky.com for anyone wanting further information.
